Delay plugins are some of the most creative tools in modern music production. From subtle ambience to rhythmic echoes and full-on sound design, a good delay can transform a mix. Developers like Waves, Soundtoys, FabFilter, PSP Audioware, UAD, and Baby Audio have all released excellent delay plugins over the years, and when those plugins go on sale it is a great opportunity to expand your toolkit without paying full price. I’ll also say this up front because I genuinely mean it. Waves H-Delay is still one of my personal favorites. It is simple, musical, and incredibly versatile. I reach for it all the time.
