Look, I’d love to tell you Sonic Odyssey took a strategic summer hiatus… but the truth is, I made the mistake of giving Gianni the intern admin credentials.
Somehow, in his infinite Stuttgart wisdom, Gianni "optimized" something on the backend, and next thing we know, Google nuked our SEO harder than a SoundCloud rapper’s career after AI voices dropped. It took weeks to unfuck that situation. Thanks, Gianni.
By the time the dust settled, I was buried under projects—studio builds, gear mods, site tweaks—and recovering from the kind of burnout that makes you contemplate moving to the woods with a ukulele and a suspicious number of cats.
Oh, and I thought it’d be a good idea to take Gianni to see Jason Isbell at Beech Mountain. He decided to sneak off and “explore” the defunct Land of Oz theme park. Long story short:
- He got lost
- He got arrested
- The Watauga County Jail lost him
He’s fine now. I think.
Anyway—Sonic Odyssey is alive and kicking. We’re back to publishing, with new articles dropping this week including How to Record Instruments at Home Like a Pro and a full schedule of gear deep dives and production tips lined up.
Appreciate everyone who’s been following along. Especially those of you who stuck around through the “Gianni incident.”
